Misson at the Eastward
“Reaching the last house on the last road.”
We believe that communities aren’t changed by programs but by relationships developed among people in that community. In our missions work, we build and support relationships that inspire change. Every summer a group of individuals go to Farmington, Maine and partner with Mission at the Eastward, M.A.T.E. to help repair, rehabilitate and construct the homes of elderly, handicapped and low income people to help better their lives and the lives of the community. By doing this work we build relationships with the homeowners and with people from the community. We have also made lasting friendships with members of Camp Hill Presbyterian Church who we join for the week and work, play and dine together side by side. Through our work with MATE we extend God’s love to all.
